The Andy Williams Christmas Show (Live from Branson)

Andy Williams, venerable singing star of countless TV holiday specials, performs onstage at his own theater in Branson, Missouri, before an adoring audience in 1993. Decked out in a succession of sweaters and scarves, Williams does 25 Christmas classics, dances with women wearing reindeer headdresses, sings along with a children’s chorus, and welcomes special guests Lorrie Morgan and the Osmond Brothers (who show up wearing jackets featuring rhinestone poinsettias and candy canes). A number of youthful men and women appear throughout in various production numbers, usually dressed as Christmas carolers or partygoers (think more scarves and sweaters), while the band performs on a stage decorated with Christmas trees and lots of fake snow. This is a very professional production, and if it’s schmaltzy and utterly middle-of-the-road, that’s no doubt what Williams intended. –Robert J. McNamara

This is a warm and friendly performance – vintage Andy Williams. As a long time Andy Williams fan I was glad to add this DVD to my collection. Time stands still while watching Andy sing more than 25 classic holiday songs in his well renown, easy going style. The performance is complete with the Osmond Brothers joining Andy in a segment of the show. Enjoyable entertainment!
Customer Review: The Andy Williams Christmas Show (Live from Branson)
Well, what more do I have to say…? It’s Andy! Although he’s a bit older from when I remember him in my childhood, he still has that smooth and distinct voice that is so recognizable to anyone who grew up watching the Andy Williams Show! Andy puts on a wonderful Christmas show in Branson where his own theater resides. I think anyone who has ever loved to watch Andy Williams when they were growing up as a child (Or Adult for that matter) will thoroughly enjoy this DVD and make it part of their collection! “BUY NOW”
